Animation and a Cure for Writer's/Artist's Block

  • Listening to: Amanda Palmer
  • Reading: Watership Down
So... I finally found all of the animation files I kept buried in my stuff from when I left college. Took me forever to go through them all this afternoon, but it was worth it (as you can see by my gallery).

Currently, my life has consisted of looking for freelance work and working on my novel. I have finally gotten into a rhythm of writing everyday, even if it is only one sentence, which is an accomplishment in my book.

Also, SERIOUSLY into Amanda Palmer's new cd "Who Killed Amanda Palmer" right now. Not that she will ever replace Regina Spektor for me, but there's something about her lyrics and personality that urge me to... create anything and everything. Whether it's my art or writing, she definitely inspires me. I urge you to check out her stuff, if you don't know of her musical genius already.

Also, greatly enjoyed this article by Laurell K. Hamilton:

It's about Writer's Block, but I think it applies to any art. So, I thought I would share it with the rest of you. It certainly made me reconsider my creative process as well as my thought process during the day.

Let me know what you think. How do you cure artist's block?

Haha, thanks for the favorite. Mountain Fairies is like...my most popular photograph ever. Which...surprises me for some reason.

Thanks!
